Let's hope that the UAW pushes the automakers to make some in Canada...we don't want to be left out of this wave...
Iran, Turkey and Malaysia are planning to build an "Islamic car" that will have a compass to find the direction of Makkah, Malaysia's state news agency reported.Will there be alarms warning of infidels???? Will the radio only come equipped to receive just Al-Jazeera???
The proposed car will also have a compartment for the Quran and prayer scarves, the Bernama agency quoted an official of Malaysian automaker Proton as saying.
"The car will have all the Islamic features and should be meant for export purposes," said Proton's managing director, Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.
"We will identify a car that we can develop to be produced in Malaysia, Iran or Turkey," he said during a visit to Tehran.
Syed Zainal said the vehicle was an Iranian initiative. "What they (Iran) want to do is to call that an Islamic car," he said.

How much? Since cars cost as much as a house did only mere decades ago, they may sell a lot of these if the price is right. (real conservative)
Praise allah! - I want the version with 1000 pds. of tnt and easy access blow up button on the steering wheel. My wife wants the one with all the windows blacked out with only the tiny viewing slit in the windshield, that way she can go burkaless.
