The Bishop of Oxford has supported plans to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer over part of the historic city.
Welcoming proposals from Oxford's Central Mosque to sound the call three times a day over East Oxford, the Rt Rev John Pritchard said those opposed to the plan should "relax" and "enjoy community diversity".

It's already here!
A couple of years ago I was in Scarborough(Toronto's east end) when this loud wailing started and I turned to he guy next to me(a man from India) and said, "I think your being called to the temple"(sorry I have never been politicaly correct). He laughed and said,"You can't blame that on me; that is the Mossies being called to a terror meeting."
It's funny in our society that I can see there are certain groups that come here and absolutely don't fit in, but Taig(my friend from India)and his family see it as well but are afraid to say anything because as he says he remembers what it was like in the old country and doesn't want those problems here. Because of our silence we will be subjected to "those problems" sooner or later.
Good morning Fred, I have not read your blog for a while, mostly because my wife gets very pissed when I waste time blogging. :D
I'm glad to see you are still keeping up the good work.
Anyway I'd like to caution people about maintaining a sense of distance between taking on Islamic nuts and tromping on the legitamate religious freedoms of ordinary muslims.
Now, please, before you attack me as a lefty or a PCer let me say this. I'm a reserve member of the CF. Nobody supports the war on terror (both in Afghanistan AND Iraq more than me. I steadfastly support stricter border & immigration controls and I HATE THE LOW LIFE KHADR FAMILY!
BUT!! It really doesn't hurt us to let somebody call people to prayer does it?
We don't seem to mind when church bells ring. (I'm a Christian - sort of [hmm?]). Let's not go overboard on this ok?
The Church of England stands for nothing except whatever trendy fraud the liberal elites are quaffing these days.
