Gay leaders have no respect for democracy.....
It's discouraging to see the leadership of the gay community run to support the coalition...
With a signed agreement between the Liberals and the NDP to form a coalition government under the leadership of Stéphane Dion, with the support of the Bloc Quebecois, progressives across the country are moving to show their support for the union.Troster doesn't understand democracy and that's discouraging. The coalition has no mandate at all. They never faced the electorate with their plans - in fact, the people were clear that they didn't want Stephane Dion as Prime Minister. So, in order to make so-called 'gains' - gay leaders are willing to throw democracy out the window. Some leaders.
Ottawa activist Ariel Troster is rallying support for the coalition.
"In terms of any possibility of making gains for our community, a coalition government is the best way to go," says Troster.
"More than 60 percent of the people voted against Stephen Harper in the last election," Troster points out.
Indeed, the actual number was rounded out to 38 percent support for the Conservatives, while the combined Liberal and NDP support works out to 44 percent, 54 percent if you include the Bloc.
"As far as I'm concerned, a coalition government has the clear mandate to govern," Troster adds.

About 12 years ago i told people that the gay community would rue the day they supported the feminists who marched for the pro-Choice right to abortion.
I knew enough about technology and Biology to use foresight and see that Eugenics would make a comeback even though 50 million people died in WW2 when we stopped Hitler's Nazi germany that tried it .
Except that I saw abortion as the new Eugenics tool to prevent defective Humans from being born so they don't create a burden on Society.
Today we see the Down-Symdrome gene spotted and now it's shifted to be a way to abort the child , in Toronto there is a Clinic that does Gender-cide abortions based on a tissue sample with a 85% accurate rate for gender ID.
One day people like me will be prevented form being born just as Van Gogh,Lincoln,Kennedy,Beethoven, and even Jean Chretien would have never been born under a similar Eugenics system to use a Forced-Abortion law as part of improving Society.
Once the Pedophile-gene is spotted , I'm sure everyone will back the Abortions to stop these monsters from being born.......or will only the Heterosexual-pedophile gene allow for the Abortions while the same-gender sexual preference pedophiles have a special status to be born as a Human-Right in our Charter.
I respect Democracy even when my party doesn't win , I even pay my taxes while not agreeing to every cause they get spent on.
But these weasels are bitter angry white-males that can't accept that they didn't win the Election , they want revenge and power....period.
Democracy is not the issue. Canadians don't vote for the office of Prime Minister, Canadians elect 308 MPs. While party which fielded the largest bloc of members elected is customarily asked to form the government, they only get to do so while they hold the confidence of the house.
In the case of a minority government (such as the last two formed by conservatives in as many years), the mandate from the people is weak and tenuous.
What you fail to appreciate is that every member of parliament is elected just as officially as every other member, and where executive power vests in the house is not a fixed thing.
A coalition comprised of the Liberals and NDP represents more members who were voted for than the Conservative party does. Therefore it has received MORE support from the people of Canada. That is as democratic as it gets up here.
UP HERE. IN CANADA. WHERE YOU LIVE. NOT IN THE USA. WHERE YOU DO NOT LIVE.
We don't vote in a government, do you understand? We vote in members. Stephen Harper was not elected by Canadians outside of his own riding. He was appointed to the office of Prime Minister, and he can damn well be removed.
Believe that.
