Amnesty doesn't understand human rights...
Alex Neve, Secretary General of Amnesty in Canada, has no clue why the Canadian government is supporting Israel...
Neve cites former Conservative prime minister Brian Mulroney’s “strong leadership” in the struggle against apartheid in South Africa and on initiatives regarding children’s rights as evidence the shift in Canada’s reputation can’t be explained by blaming one political party or another. But he points to Canada’s current position “of complete support of Israel with respect to the very volatile human rights issues that come up regarding Israel and Palestine” as a sign that the Harper government has abandoned previous efforts to remain impartial.Sorry, Alex. It is Canada's principled leadership that leads it to support Israel and to be outraged by the daily terrorism of Hamas.
“That has damaged our reputation for principled leadership and objectivity regarding human rights,” said Neve. “There’s no question it has been since this government took power that we have seen a lot of these changes in policy and positions . . . We need to make it clear that’s not Canada’s tradition and Canadians want to see a return to principled leadership.”

Indeed the Leaders of the "U M" (united Muslims) need to sober up and get real about what is really going on. A principled stand is exactly what our P M S. Harper is taking and I am very proud of him for doing just that.

Alex himself has a credibility issue for Human Rights.
He was aligned with Maher Arar and the Whahabbi back CAIR-Canada (Sheema Khan) that has the Saudi Masters crusading for Shariah law in Canada , and since Alex only spoke up for Arars' "Allegations" of torture in his homeland of Syria and not the actual Torture to William Sampson in a Saudi Jail on trumped-up charges.....Alex has shown who is masters are because the Saudis still behead about 50 Humans each year .
The irony for Alex is that if the Arar's were to vist Saudis Arabia Mahers' wife would be a second class person forced to wear Islamic dress and could be jailed and beheaded under Shariah law for offending Allah or Muhammed .
The Arar Inquiry was a farce since Arar didn't even show up to be a witness to his Alleged toture , and if you read the lists for Special Interests Groups and Witnesses you will see the connections to CAIR and the Arars' themselves.
The Inquiry was not to prove Innocence or Guilt for Arar , in fact...the premiss was so skewed to mislead the Media that it may go down in History as the biggest Tax-fraud scheme by a Citizen to bilk Canadians of a Tax-Free $10'500.000.00 dollars by threatening Canadians with is original $400'000'000.00 dollar lawsuit that forced the Inquiry by Financial Jihad .
One day this scam will be synonymous with Roswell,JFK,9/11 conspiracy,Elvis death,Marilyn Monroe death ,Burmuda Triangle,Moon landing hoax, and all those other Media Hyped conspiracies events that were rarely questioned for what really happened from the evidence and not the vague New Articles that guess at the story and then later on print the correct version.
Maher Arar has now called Omar Khadr a liar , ergo....Khadr can not be trusted to tell he truth so his claim of NOT throwing the grenade or being in a War dressed as a civilian means he was according to Mr.Arar.
Maybe when Omar gets back to canada he could file a Lawsuit agist the Arars' that have smeared HIS name by calling him a liar in the Media.
Irony is so sweet.
