First, they get into Greece, and then they somehow manage to fly to Denmark!

Police have detained 11 of the 26 asylum seekers that arrived on a Greek flight, others have been sent to asylum centre

A flight from Athens arrived in Copenhagen on Saturday night with 26 illegal aliens on board, 11 have now been remanded in custody.

Authorities said the immigrants came from Afghanistan, Somalia and Iraq and most of those detained were travelling on false documentation while a couple had other people’s passports. Politiken newspaper reports that some who had bought false passports paid up to €2,000. The passports were originally issued by Poland and Denmark.

A number of those held in custody have already claimed asylum, as have the other 15 illegal immigrants, who arrived with no documentation and were sent directly to the Sandholm Asylum Centre in North Zealand.

In the coming week police will contact Greek authorities to find out how so many asylum seekers slipped passed without any papers.
