More fighting in Sweden....

If they keep this up, Sweden might become a favorite in the European 2010 car-burning championships...

Night-time Clashes have continued between the police and stone and tear-gas throwing youngsters in a suburb to the Swedish city of Uppsala just north of Stockholm.

Garbage, tires and two cars have been set on fire, the windshield of a fire engine smashed and one policeman has been injured.

The suburb is noted for its high percentage of residents with foreign backgrounds, and youngsters there insist the police are harassing them and using unnecessary force.

Immigrant-rich suburbs of the cities of Malmö in the south and Gothenburg in the west have also been shaken by recent clashes - with explanations that many of the residents feel like outsiders, alienated from Swedish society. Ambulance drivers and fire fighters have earlier refused to come to the areas without police protection from stone-throwing youngsters.
