Political correctness contributed to the Ft. Hood massacre....

People were afraid of appearing discriminatory towards a muslim and so did not report issues with Hasan...
There was the classroom presentation that justified suicide bombings. Comments to colleagues about a climate of persecution faced by Muslims in the military. Conversations with a mosque leader that became incoherent.

As a student, some who knew Nidal Malik Hasan said they saw clear signs the young Army psychiatrist — who authorities say went on a shooting spree at Fort Hood that left 13 dead and 29 others wounded — had no place in the military. After arriving at Fort Hood, he was conflicted about what to tell fellow Muslim soldiers about the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, alarming an Islamic community leader from whom he sought counsel.

"I told him, `There's something wrong with you,'" Osman Danquah, co-founder of the Islamic Community of Greater Killeen, told The Associated Press on Saturday. "I didn't get the feeling he was talking for himself, but something just didn't seem right."

Danquah assumed the military's chain of command knew about Hasan's doubts, which had been known for more than a year to classmates in a graduate military medical program. His fellow students complained to the faculty about Hasan's "anti-American propaganda," but said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim student kept officers from filing a formal written complaint.

What is wrong with you? What does politics have to do with this horrible thing? You want to get hits on your blog write something worthwhile. Naming this article like that is a ploy to get readers. Disgusting.

Of course politics has something to do with this, dumbass. It was a blatantly political act and it's being defended by PC types (evidently much like yourself) who are using their politics to cover it up. Sheesh.

You are blaming political correctness for the murders? You are losing the very thin plot that you had Fred. I look forward to you losing it even more. Its entertaining to watch you implode.

Re: Lucy

We're all going to implode you dumb box and (not that it will make much difference at that point) it can be laid at the doorstep of you asshats. You PC nuts would rather see people killed that admit you're wrong. Get with the program - the guy was posting anti-Western rants and making jahadi threats for at least six months before he "went muslim" on his fellow soldiers. The FBI knew about it and they did nothing because no one wanted to be accused of being racist! Hasan might be a murderous muslim nutbar but it's you PC types (aka liberal fascists) who pose the bigger threat.

Look - You could blame religion in general, pressures of war or even a man just cracking but to blame political correctness is just mind numbingly moronic. Seems Fred isn't the only one to be losing his grip on reality.
