How much red tape is there in Canada for police?
10 hours for every arrest???
The average time taken by police to process a single arrest is now an astonishing 10 hours and six minutes, it was revealed. No wonder we keep needing more policemen...they're filling out paperwork.
Officers are spending more than their standard eight hour shift filling out dozens of forms and waiting for lawyers to arrive.
The extraordinary figure emerged during a snapshot survey by Scotland Yard of a week of arrests at a typical police station.
Rank-and-file police leaders said the figure confirmed fears that officers were being increasingly entangled in a giant web of bureaucracy.

Interesting. However, how about presenting some stats for the Canadian system.
Why the delay? So the scum of the planet can be assured that none of their "rights" are trampled on, after they've violated the rights of others?
The police paperwork should consist of the following:
Name
Age
Physical Description
Brief description of their infraction and reason for arrest
That's it! What else could they possibly need!
