The earth is getting warmer. That is a FACT. Climate models are an inexact science - thermometers are are not. Unless you want to argue that temperature gauges have an inherent liberal bias, I would drop the topic.
Pointing out that some town in Ohio (or any number of towns) is bucking the trend is irrelevent.
Global warming states that the AVERAGE temperature of the world is going up. Noone will argue that certain areas will be higher, certain lower.
It is like aruging that the Leafs are a great team because they out scored their opponents 7-1 in the third period of home games on Tuesday.
The earth hasn't warmed since 1998, according to the hadley centre. But, many of the weather stations are in large urban centres...and thus their data is prone to urban heat...

ummm... actually, the Sun is going through hot and cold flashes constantley and given it's our source of heat, on any given day it could be hotter or colder then the previous one depending on how hot the sun is...
wanna stop depleting the ozone layer??? Stop screwing with the upper atmosphere...stop airlines from flying over 10,000 feet or better yet all together... but if they fly lower they'll need to burn more fossil fuel and be in the air longer...
and isn't it interesting they call it fossil fuel??? I wonder why??? Could it be that Coal is made up of fossils of old forests...tropical forests that existed prior to the last Iceages... extreme age and presure converting that wood to coal... and oil...isn't it from microscopic biological life forms that existed in seas/oceans that existed in places like Alberta, BC, Ontario, much of the middle East, etc...hmmm... but these oceans dried up millions of years ago and again an Ice age covered them and the extreme preseure and time converted that muck to oil... could that whole process be independant of human existance given we didn'r exist on this planet back then??? But then Humans have always seen themselves as the center of the universe...
