Here's how they have to teach the holocaust in Holland...
Note, the first paragraph and the hostility towards Jews and Israel...
When teaching Holocaust studies to Dutch Muslim teenagers in Amsterdam, Mustafa Daher says he first has to defuse his pupils' own hostility toward Jews and Israel. So, the only way to diffuse the hostility is not to confront it, but to talk of something which doesn't exist - Islamophobia....boy, are we in trouble.
"If I don't capture their interest, then I have done nothing. So I use the rising Islamophobia to help them connect to the persecution of the Jews," the seasoned educator says. "For example, I tell them that when the Nazis suspected someone was Jewish, they would pull down his pants to see if he was circumcised. Then I remind my Muslim students they are also 'snipped.' So they, too, would've ended up in a concentration camp," says Daher.

Why are holocaust studies taught at the exclusive exception of most every other human tragedy known in the history of the world?
I agree with anonymous. Other tragedies should be discussed:
The slaughter of Millions of Hindus by muslims as they overran India.
The genocide of the Armenians by Turkish muslims.
The 1400 years of enslaving Africans, begun by islam, which continues to this day in Africa.
The 420 years of islamic wars against Europe.
And so forth...
My what a brave boy Mr. Anonymous there is, eh?
The answer is because the Leftists in education don't want to talk about the hundred million killed by Communism, so they focus on Adolph.
As to defusing the Muslim "hostility" to Jews and the Holocaust, maybe the teacher could start with the numerous Muslim atrocities in India which created the Sikh religion. Then they could learn some respect for German engineering while they were at it. The Nazis made up in numbers where they trailed the Caliphate in sheer bloody minded enthusiasm.
The Phantom
It's Adolf, not Adolph.
In Sweden they have, or will shortly, start teaching more about communism (incl their mass executions). Who woulda thunk!
Great thread folks. One of the topics that for some reason is "out of bounds" and very seldom gets any exposure.
There is some chilling information here: http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/comment-bostom120602.asp

Anon -- Did you ever think that maybe they teach about the Holocaust in Holland because it happened there? You have heard of Anne Frank, haven't you?
