Annan Proposes Overhaul of the UN

Perhaps Kofi Annan is starting to get it. He has unveiled some new proposals to expand the Security Council, reform the Human Rights Commission, and to redefine terrorism. This is all long overdue - the Human Rights Commission is a joke with members like Cuba and Zimbabwe. It's hard to believe that in the year 2005, the UN still hasn't agreed upon a definition of terrorism.

I'm heartened by George Bush's new ambassador to the UN, John Bolton. The US needs someone who can stand up for common sense, and who will, hopefully, end the shameful targeting of Israel at the UN.
