Is Norway a conduit for North Korea?
It seems some trucks sent to Norway have found their way to North Korea.
U.S. officials are investigating how six World War II-era military trucks given by Washington to Oslo have ended up in North Korean hands.Or, is the Red Cross the conduit?
Sometime last summer the M-6 vehicles turned up in the Marxist state, the Aftenposten reported Friday.
The vehicles were part of a shipment of 203 such trucks given in the 1960s by the United States to Norway's military and then given by them to the nation's Red Cross. The Norwegian Red Cross, in turn, gave some of the vehicles to the International Red Cross.
Although the six trucks are owned by the IRC, North Korea is apparently free to use them as desired.
