Maryland Governor vetoes gay rights bill...

The Republicans always claim that gay marriage shouldn't come from the courts. Well, the Governor of Maryland has overturned a gay rights bill passed by the legislature.
Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. Friday vetoed a measure allowing same-sex couples to make medical decisions for each other, overturning legislation passed earlier this year to the cheers of gay activists and over opposition from religious conservatives.
Common decency says gay couples should have the right to visit each other in hospital, and to make medical decisions for each other, no? The Republicans care little for common decency, sometimes.
