Horrors...the tobacco industry tried to sell to women!

I'm not a big fan of the tobacco industry, but why is it a shock that they are trying to sell to women? Afterall, isn't that good business - trying to make your products attractive to different segments?
Tobacco companies did elaborate research on women to figure out how to hook them on smoking — even toying with the idea of chocolate-flavoured cigarettes that would curb appetite, a new study says.

Researchers at Harvard University's School of Public Health said they examined more than 7 million documents — some dating back to 1969, others as recent as 2000 — to probe the industry's efforts to lure women.

Lead author Carrie Carpenter said, "They did so much research in such a sophisticated way. Women should know how far the tobacco industry went to exploit them.''
Exploit them? Lure them? The whole article is rather naive....and is indicative of what we can expect in this politcally correct environment. Women are innocent and how dare cigarette companies try to figure out what is attractive to women?
