My name is Fred and I am a gay conservative living in Ottawa. This blog supports limited government, the right of the State of Israel to live in peace and security, and tries to expose the threat to us all from cultural relativism, post-modernism, and radical Islam. I am also the founder of the Free Thinking Film Society in Ottawa (www.freethinkingfilms.com)

Human Rights in Iran

The motion criticizing Iran for Human Rights Violations passed the UN 77-51, with 46 countries abstaining. Here are some of the countries that voted against the resolution: Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Cuba, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.

Sudan explained their vote this way: ""the vibrant democratic practices in Iran are a source of admiration to my delegation."
